Cuando pensamos en el significado de hogar nos vienen a la mente imágenes de nuestra casa, donde vivimos, donde dormimos, donde comemos, donde acabamos el día, donde nos reunimos con nuestra familia. ¿Pero es este el verdadero significado de lo que es un hogar para mí? Pues no necesariamente, en efecto mi casa es mi hogar pero no es el único. Cuando pienso en las casas de algunas amigas o familiares, o en lugares que frecuento, siento que me embarga un sentimiento de pertenencia muy parecido al que siento en mi casa.

Por ello, creé este mapa, donde aparecen conectados todos los espacios que conforman este concepto de hogar, haciendo que no solo mi casa esté allí sino todos los espacios que considero seguros. También separados por una avenida que supondría el límite, he añadido al otro lado aquellos lugares que en algún momento fueron o deberían haber sido espacios seguros para mi, mis hogares, pero que a día de hoy no lo son.

THE HOUSE MAP

When we think about the meaning of home, images come to mind of our house, where we live, where we sleep, where we eat, where we end the day, where we gather with our family. But is this the true meaning of home for me? Well not necessarily, indeed my house is my home but it is not the only one. When I think of the homes of some friends or relatives, or places I frequent, I feel a sense of belonging very similar to what I feel at home.

Therefore, I created this map, where all the spaces that make up this concept of home are connected, making not only my house there but all the spaces that I consider safe. Also separated by an avenue that would be the limit, I have added on the other side those places that at some point were or should have been safe spaces for me, my homes, but today they are not.
