Sobre la crisis española de 2008 mucho se ha hablado, la realidad es que es la primera gran crisis de nuestra generación, la que vivimos con 8 años bombardeados con noticias sobre los políticos ¿Quién era ZP, por qué la gente lo odiaba y por qué tenía unas cejas tan graciosas?¿Quién es M. Rajoy?, empapados de la desesperación y enagenación de nuestro alrededor adulto, absorbiendo toda la frustración de nuestros padres, anestesiados por Mr Wonderful y su optimismo mediocre, las 100 millones de ventas de los Sims y los temazos de Carlos Baute, despertando instantáneamente por un campanazo que ya parece que se nos ha olvidado con el brillo del casoplón del coletas y con esperanza gracias a nuestros amigos prestamistas, que tanto bien nos han hecho.

Ahora, en una habitación en la que no cabe una cama de más de 1.80 m, que el armario es uno de camping, la ventana da a un patio de luces en el que desde el covid ya no se escucha al señor mayor del primero, pero que sigue oliendo a una mezcla entre porro y fritanga y que la puerta no se llega a abrir del todo por el mini escritorio. Debo estar más agradecido que nunca por los 4 sitios diferentes en los que trabajo a la vez que me saco una carrera universitaria que me permiten costearme tan amplio zulo en el barrio en el que más agujas se comparten de toda valencia.

2008.exe es el resultado de una videoinstalación creada a partir de la mezcla entre lo físico y lo virtual, influenciado por la cultura del meme y del streaming trata de mostrar el habitat de un estudiante español cualquiera pero esta vez lleno de anuncios, de estímulos y de sucesos que influencian su vida diaria pero con los que debe convivir. No se trata si quiera de una queja, es más una carcajada con la mirada puesta en el horizonte de la ventana del windows pirata, cansada de tener que demostrar nada y de tener que poder con todo.

Much has been said about the Spanish crisis of 2008, the reality is that it is the first great crisis of our generation, the one we lived through at the age of 8 bombarded with news about politicians.
